Computex Insider 2009!

Notebook Coolers: Buyers’ Guide

What is a notebook Cooler?

By definition a notebook cooler is “a device used in order to cool a notebook”. There are two types of notebook coolers, the first being a passive notebook cooler and second, a non-passive cooler. A passive notebook cooler is “inactive”; it uses no moving components to help cool the notebook. It is generally a notebook stand. A Non-Passive cooler, is what most people view as a notebook cooler. It uses fans to pass air through or pull it away from the bottom of a notebook to actively force air flow movement within the notebook chassis.

Choiix Mini Air-Through Netbook Cooler Review

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA         Claiming a stake in the netbook market from cases to mice, Choiix has recently introduced the first netbook cooler. With its simplistic aluminum styling equipped with a 4 port USB hub, the Choiix Mini Air-Through C-HL02 challenges even some of the brand-name notebook coolers in terms of features and design.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA         Fresh on the scene, Choiix debut the Air-Through. White as a ghost yet subtle to the naked eye, this cooler features a great ergonomic angle for typing while able to effectively cool your notebook.  Though designed for notebooks up to 13” this cooler proved to withstand more!
